Maareesan: Directed by Sudheesh Sankar, this marks Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu's second collaboration following Maamannan

Maareesan is an upcoming Tamil film starring actors Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu in the lead roles. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on July 25 and marks the second collaboration of the actors after their first outing Maamannan, a social political drama. Recently, the plot of Maareesan was revealed by the director and keep reading to know what would be the story of the film.
The teaser of Maareesan was unveiled by the makers, and we saw that it seems to be a road trip taken by two men, played by Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil. Directed by Sudheesh Sankar, the film is bankrolled by RB Choudhary under Super Good Films as the banner’s 100th venture.

Now, as per the director, in the film, Vadivelu will be playing an Alzheimer's patient who has just withdrawn money from the ATM. Fahadh Faasil's character, who has spotted this, plans to rob him. Under the pretence of dropping Vadivelu to Thiruvanamalai from Nagercoil, the two men become close to each other. The rest of the film is whether Vadivelu will be robbed off his money or not.
Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Maareesan. After the theatrical run, the film will be available to stream. Maareesan is set to hit big screens on July 25. Besides Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil, the film also features actors includes Kovai Sarala, Vivek Prasanna, Sithara, PL Thenappan, Livingston, Renuka, Saravana Subbiah, Krishna, Haritha, and Telephone Raja.

The technical crew includes Yuvan Shankar Raja composing the music with Kalaiselvan Sivaji as the cinematographer. Sreejith Sarang is the editor. The story, screenplay and dialogues have been penned by V Krishna Moorthy who is also the creative director.
Meanwhile you can stream Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil’s Maamannan on Netflix. Directed by Mari Selvaraj, the film shows a different shade of the actors, who play roles that are opposite to each other.
