Maareesan release date out: Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu’s second collaboration to hit theatres soon

Maareesan, the upcoming film starring actors Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu in the lead roles, is set to release very soon. Directed by Sudheesh Sankar, Maareesan will release on July 25. Produced by RB Choudary under the Super Good Films banner, the upcoming film is helmed by Sudheesh Sankar.

We had earlier reported that actors Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu will be collaborating for a Tamil film Maareesan. The makers on Saturday announced that the film will hit theatres on July 25, with a new poster featuring the lead actors.

Directed by Sudheesh Sankar, the film is bankrolled by RB Choudary under the Super Good Films banner. Maareesan is the 100th venture of Super Good Films. Besides Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil, the cast of Maareesan also includes Kovai Sarala, Vivek Prasanna, Sithara, PL Thenappan, Livingston, Renuka, Saravana Subbiah, Krishna, Haritha, and Telephone Raja.

The story, screenplay and dialogues for the upcoming film is done by V Krishna Moorthy who is also the creative director. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music with Kalaiselvan Sivaji cranking the camera. Sreejith Sarang is the editor.

Netlfix has bagged the post theatrical rights of Maareesan. The teaser of the film was released by the team a while ago. It showed the journey of two men who seem to be travelling together. The trailer of the film might give out more on the plot of the film. The teaser showed the journey of the two main characters, as we see Vadivelu in a yet another author backed role.

Meanwhile, you can stream Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu’s first collaboration Maamannan. The social drama is written and directed by filmmaker Mari Selvaraj and is available for streaming on Netflix. Maamannan also features Udhayanidhi Stalin and Keerthy Suresh. The film focuses on the political and systematic oppression based on caste.
