Maargan release date

Maargan is set to hit big screens on June 27. It marks the first release this year for Vijay Antony. Maargan will be sharing its box office with fellow Tamil film Love Marriage, which will also be releasing on the same day in theatres.

The trailer of Maargan was released by the team a few days back. The trailer hints the film to be a mystery thriller with Vijay Antony's character searching for a serial killer. A body of a burnt woman is found lying dead in garbage, while the protagonist is a cop trying to nab the one responsible for it. We are also introduced to a young boy who seem to have a mysterious power, and his relationship with water, gives an intriguing twist to the film.

Maargan plot

Maargan is a detective fiction film about a high-ranking police officer who is dealing with a mysterious case of a serial killer with a supernatural power. But what is that special quality the killer possesses and how the case is solved form the rest of Maargan story.

Maargan cast and crew

Apart from Vijay Antony, Maargan will also have Samuthirakani, Brigida Saga, Mahanathi Shankar, Prithika, Vinodh Sagar, Deepshikha, Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru Archana, Kanimozhi, and Anthagaram Natarajan in prominent roles. Directed by Leo John Paul, the film is shot by Yuva S and Raja A as art director. Besides starring in the film, Vijay Antony will also be scoring the music for the film. The director has also handled the edits.

Maargan censor and runtime

The film has a run of two hours and 12 minutes, and has been censored with an U/A certificate.

Maargan OTT partner

Prime Video has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Maargan. However, an OTT release date will be announced only after the film finishes its theatrical run.
