Shakthi Thirumagan is an upcoming Tamil film starring the multi-faceted personality Vijay Antony, who works in the Tamil film industry. The actor-producer-editor-composer will be marking his 25th acting stint with Shakthi Thirumagan. In a recent conversation with OTTplay, Vijay Antony revealed the release plans of the film, which will be directed by Tamil director Arun Prabhu Purushothaman.
Not a while ago, the makers of Vijay Antony’s next unveiled the title of his film with Arun Prabhu Purushothaman, who has made films like Aruvi and Vaazhl. Titled Shakthi Thirumagan, the film marks Vijay Antony’s 25th film as an actor.
In a recent conversation with OTTplay, while speaking about his next release Maargan, Vijay Antony revealed that Shakthi Thirumagan will hit theatres in September 2025. However, a release date is yet to be announced. When asked what kind of a film it will be, Vijay Antony said, “Something like a Mudhalvan, Indian… It will be about a common man becoming a vigilante and questioning the system.”
The film will have a multi-lingual release in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam as well. Besides Vijay Antony, Shakthi Thirumagan also features actors Vaagai Chandrasekar, Sunil Kriplani, Cell Murugan, Trupthi Ravindra, and child actor Master Keshav, among others, in prominent roles. Besides headlining the film, Vijay Antony will also score the music and produce under his home banner, Vijay Antony Film Production. The technical crew includes editor Raymond Derrick Crasta is the editor, and cinematographer Shelley Calist.
It is to be noted that Shakthi Thirumagan marks the first time Vijay Antony is working with Arun Prabhu. With the filmmaker’s previous films having a unique premise and thought-provoking themes in Vaazhl and Aruvi, fans of Vijay Antony are looking forward for the collaboration. Meanwhile, Vijay Antony’s immediate film is Maargan, a thriller with a supernatural twist. It is gearing up to hit theatres on June 27 and is directed by Leo John Paul.
