Tollywood star Mahesh Babu, who recently watched Kamal Haasan's latest release, Vikram, called the film, a cult classic. He also said that he would like to discuss the entire of making of the film, with Vikram director, Lokesh Kanagaraj. Taking to his social media page, Mahesh Babu, wrote, "#Vikram... Calling himself a huge Kamal Haasan fan, Mahesh Babu said that he was not qualified enough to comment on his acting, but said that it was a proud moment watching the Ulaganayagan in action. He wrote, "And finally about the legend @ikamalhaasan.. not qualified enough to comment about the acting 馃槉 All I can say is.. as your biggest fan, it was one of my proudest moments!! Vikram stars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, along with a special appearance by Suriya. The supporting cast includes Narain, Kalidas Jayaram, Arjun Das, Gayathrie Shankar, Chemban Vinod Jose to name a few. Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander. While the cinematography is by Girish Gangadharan, editing is by Philomin Raj.
The film, which is running to packed houses, is gearing up for its OTT release on July 8 on Disney + Hotstar. Vikram, which released in theatres on June 3, has emerged as one of the biggest hits of Kamal Haasan, crashing many box office records. The film's team recently had a success meet in Chennai for which Kamal Haasan, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Anirudh Ravichander, Udhayanidhi Stalin, and many others were present.
