Sakshi Tanwar will next be seen in Mai, promising to offer an intense tale of a woman caught in a dangerous web of violence. A new poster for the upcoming series was unveiled recently, which hints at just how intense the story can get. The series' release date was also unveiled by the makers today.
The poster was unveiled by Netflix on their official social media handles. It features Tanwar looking dismal and ragged, with tears in her eyes and blood on her hands, standing in what seems to be a warehouse-like structure. Part of the post’s caption reads ‘How far will she go for her family?’.
The trailer of the series will premiere tomorrow, on March 24.

Netflix also released new stills from the upcoming series recently on the occasion of women’s day, which features the characters, portrayed by Tanwar, Raima Sen and Wamiqa Gabbi. The series marks Tanwar’s Netflix debut.
The upcoming series revolves around the story of Sheel, a woman in her late 40s, who finds herself thrust into a world of crime and dirty politics, after the devastating murder of her daughter. Sheel vows to avenge the death of her daughter by finding out the people responsible for it.
Vivek Mushran, Prashant Narayanan and Seema Pahwa, among others, also feature in the series. Atul Mongia serves as the showrunner, in addition to directing some episodes. Mongia has also written the series along with Amita Vyas and Tamal Kumar Sen. Anshai Lal has also directed the series. The series is produced under the banner of Clean Slate Filmz, the production company, founded by Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh Ssharma.
Mai will premiere on Netflix on April 15.
