Maidaan Box Office Day 1 Collection: After talking, reading, and writing about it for over a couple of months, we are finally witnessing the release of two massive movies in Eid 2024. While Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has made enough news for its advance booking, release format, and much more, Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan has been a silent player for a while now. The movie saw its official release with the Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff starrer, and the two clashed at the box office.
Turns out the report for the former is now out, and if the numbers are to go by, the Devgn-led sports drama had to work hard to stay on the decent end of the spectrum with its day one collection in the domestic market, and that has also happened because of the audience getting divided.

If the latest reports are to go by, the box office gods have not spared the Ajay Devgn-led biographical movie, as the film has struggled to reach a decent number that can be called an opening that is not disappointing. Maidaan’s release format was similar to that of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan; the movie had paid previews on April 10 as it opened doors for the audience in the evening. The movie was already Rs 2.6 crore strong from the paid previews, which ended up getting added to the opening day collection of the movie.
Now if the latest numbers on Sacnilk are to go by, the movie has managed to earn Rs 4.5 crore nett in India, and that brings the total opening day collection of Maidaan to Rs 7.10 crore. The number is decent and can be called a good start for a film that is clashing with a big film like Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. While content-wise Maidaan is supreme, the more eyeball-grabbing project is the Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer, which promises to be a mass entertainer.
Maidaan’s Rs 7 crore collection will see an elevation in the coming days, considering the weekend will have people walking into theaters. Beyond that, the movie will have to have good word of mouth to grow and retain its hold over the box office to have a good box office collection.
