Maja Ma: THIS was the most gorgeous reason for Barkha Singh to be on the set of Madhuri Dixit starrer

As the young actress Barkha Singh is making her big appearance in a Hindi film like Maja Ma, starring Bollywood superstar Madhuri Dixit, she expresses her gratitude and shares her big reason to turn up on set every day.

Barkha said during an interactive session on the occasion of Maja Ma trailer launch in Mumbai, "I was super excited to be part of this film because I had a beautiful, gorgeous reason to be on set every day and that is Madhuri Dixit ma'am! It was such an experience of doing a Bollywood film, whether the song-dance sequence, star cast and family drama, our film have everything. As the film is releasing on an OTT platform like Prime Video, such a colourful film will not only be limited to us but also the global audience can enjoy the festivity. So it is a very special debut film for me."

The story of the film revolves around a Gujarati middle-class family who has a dark family secret that gets surfaced before the occasion of their son's marriage.

In the film, Barkha is playing the character of Isha, a soon-to-be daughter-in-law from an NRI family Isha.

Sharing more details of her character, Barkha said, " Isha is very free-spirited, madly in love with Tejas, but very accepting by nature. When there is a complex situation, she looks at it with acceptance. Anand sir really helped me to go through the process so that I can edge out the character well. In real life also I am someone very accepting by nature."

The film Maja Ma is directed by Anand Tiwari, produced by Amritpal Singh Bindra, and written by Sumit Batheja. It also features Gajaraj Rao, Sheeba Chaddha, Ritwik Bhowmik, Srishti Shrivastava, Rajit Kapoor, and Madhuri Dixit as protagonists releases on Prime Video on October 6.
