Adivi Sesh’s multilingual project Major is a movie that fans are eagerly looking out for. The actor, who essays the role of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan in the movie, has now said that he felt a deep sense of respect the first time he wore the Indian Army uniform.
Talking about this in an interview with India Today, the actor added, “Initially I was also quite nervous, but then the final time I wore the black uniform I was stunned, not so much looking at myself, but the gravity of this man’s life, and his final moments,”
The actor, who spent the last Republic Day with the CRPF jawans, remembers by saying that listening to their professional and personal experiences makes you realise that though the locations they fought may vary, the struggles and feelings remain the same.
Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, Major is a multilingual project that is made simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi. The movie, which will also be dubbed into Malayalam, is produced by Sony Pictures India, G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment and A+S Movies.
The movie is touted to trace the life of the national hero, Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan from his childhood to his days in the army and the events of the Mumbai attack. Apart from Sesh, Major also stars Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Prakash Raj, Revathi and Murli Sharma in important roles.
Major was supposed to hit theaters on February 11, 2022, but the makers confirmed yesterday that the release date has been postponed due to the aggravation of the covid situation and curfew/limitations in most parts of the country.
