Sivakarthikeyan’s SK 21 is directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy and backed by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International
Actor Sivakarthikeyan, who was last seen in Pongal release Ayalaan, is undoubtedly has become of the A-listers of the Tamil film industry. While he enjoys a massive fan following, each update of his films has been receiving a great amount of enthusiasm.
In line with this, speculations are rife that the first look of his upcoming film SK 21 will be out on February 17. However, the makers are yet to confirm if the news is indeed true or not. Tentatively titled SK 21, the film is directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy.
Produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International, SK 21 is directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy who previously made Rangoon in his directorial debut. As per speculations, the update on SK 21 will be out on February 17, which marks the birthday of Sivakarthikeyan. It is to be noted that it is common for projects to drop major announcements for the occasion of the cast's birthdays. In line with this, there are high possibilities that the makers of SK 21 will drop a glimpse revealing the title of the film or first look of the actor.
In SK 21, Sivakarthikeyan is expected to play an army office and perform high-octane stunt sequences. SK 21 reportedly draws inspiration from the non-fiction book India’s Most Fearless: True Stories Of Modern Military Heroes, depicting real-life challenges faced by Indian soldiers, including the 2016 surgical strikes. Sai Pallavi, Rahul Bose, and Lallu also appear in significant roles. Rumours suggest a key cameo by Kamal Haasan, awaiting official confirmation.
On the sidelines of promoting the Telugu release of Ayalaan, Sivakarthikeyan revealed that the 80 percent of the production has been completed. He also added that the filmmakers are trying to finish the remaining shoot and the post-production soon to keep it ready for the release in summer 2024. A release date for the film is yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, after completing this film, Sivakarthikeyan is set to join the sets of director AR Murugadoss' next directorial outing. The film is tentatively titled SK23.
