Mallesham, Vakeel Saab actress Ananya Nagalla signs her next, a love story opposite Akhil Raj

Actress Ananya Nagalla, who shot to fame with a ravishing performance in Mallesham and followed it up with her impressive appearances in Vakeel Saab and Playback later, has signed a new film. The rustic love story written and directed by newcomer Surya Allamkonda, will have her paired opposite Akhil Raj. The latter was a former TV anchor for a vernacular channel with theatre experience and made his film debut with Vindu Bhojanam.

The untitled film formally commenced today at Ramanaidu Studio. The film, to be produced by G Pratap Reddy under Sri Durga Creations, is a tale of two opposites. Directors Vijay Kanakamedala, Kasi Viswanath, G Nageswar Reddy and Ahimsa actor Daggubati Abhiram graced the muhurat ceremony of the film. While Abhiram had switched on the camera for the first sequence, Kasi Viswanath clapped for it and G Nageswar Reddy helmed the first shot. 

"I'm thankful to all those who graced the event today. The film is an out-and-out love story to be shot in the vicinty of East Godavari and Pallam. I'm happy with the technicians I got for the film. The principal shoot will commence in August and we hope to finish the film in two schedules. I thank my producer for giving me this opportunity," the director Surya Allamkonda shared.

Akhil Raj, who shared this would be the third feature film in his career, called it a youthful, love entertainer and thanked the director and producer for the opportunity. "I liked the story immensely and this is a good romance. We're quite confident about the script and I'm happy to be headlining it," Ananya Nagalla stated, thanking the team for casting her in the film.

VRK Naidu cranks the camera for the film that has music by PR. Dhara Ramesh Babu is the art director and Pranav is the editor.
