Mammootty is currently on a high with the back-to-back successes of his recent outings, Kannur Squad, Kaathal: The Core, and Bramayugam. The megastar, who is unarguably the busiest actor in the Malayalam film industry, has also wrapped up the filming of his highly anticipated project Turbo, which is helmed by hitmaker Vysakh. And according to recent reports, Mammootty is now enjoying a much-deserved break from films.

As per the recent updates, the National Award-winning actor is planning to take a one-month-long break from films. Mammootty is planning to spend all his free time with his wife, Sulfath, and family until he starts shooting for his next film in April. According to recent updates, the megastar and his family might also fly to a foreign destination for a quick vacation before he gets back to his busy shooting schedule.

Mammootty to team up with Mahesh Narayanan for his next?

If the recent updates are to be believed, Mammootty is planning to join hands with the acclaimed editor-turned-filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan for his next outing in Malayalam. Even though the project has not officially been announced yet, the grapevine suggests that the veteran actor will most likely kickstart the filming for the project by mid-April. Along with Mammootty, the untitled film, which is touted to be a political action thriller, will also star Fahadh Faasil and Kunchacko Boban in pivotal roles. More updates on the film are expected to be out very soon.

Mammootty’s upcoming movies

As reported earlier, Mammootty’s two finished projects are Turbo, which is helmed by Vysakh, and Bazooka, which is directed by newcomer Deeno Dennis. Both films are slated to be released in theatres soon. The post-production work on the action comedy, which is penned by Midhun Manuel Thomas, is currently underway. The movie is reportedly set to hit the big screens in June 2024. Bazooka, on the other hand, is now nearing the final stages of its filming. The much-awaited Bazooka teaser is expected to be released soon.
