Along with Paran Bandyopadhyay, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, and Priyanka Sarkar, the director is spotted in the teaser
Srijato made his acting debut in Srijit Mukherji’s 2016 film, Zulfiqar. Now, Srijit is spotted in the teaser of the poet’s directorial debut Manabjamin which has Paran Bandyopadhyay, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Priyanka Sarkar, Kharaj Mukhopadhyay, and others in the lead roles. The teaser was dropped on Saturday and the film is slated to release in January.
In the teaser, we see Paran Bandyopadhyay as an elderly and well-off man in a mansion. Kharaj Mukhopadhyay makes him an offer to buy a piece of land in heaven. He says that his company’s name is Akashdip Private Limited and Srijit is the poster boy of the company. In a perfect James Bond style, Srijit introduces himself as ‘Boy. First boy.’ Meanwhile, Parambrata and Priyanka are seen struggling to run a school for underprivileged girl children. The film also hints at being vocal about a social cause.
Billed as a romantic comedy, the film will see veteran actor Paran Bandyopadhyay as a pivotal character. Earlier, in an interview with OTTplay, Srijato said, “I am nervous but also waiting for the film to be released.” Produced by Rana Sarkar, the film is slated to release in January next year.

The shooting of the film took place later last year. However, it stalled after Priyanka met with an accident in December 2021. A bike rammed into the set of Hoichoi’s web series Mahabharat Murders and the actress had to undergo surgery. Finally, the shoot was wrapped up in April this year. Meanwhile, Srijato and his team waited for Priyanka to completely recover. Later, Priyanka expressed her gratitude. She told us that she was indebted to the Manabjamin team for waiting for her recovery. After her accident and the subsequent surgery, the actress’s mobility suffered. According to sources, after a lot of exercises and physiotherapy, she got back on her feet.
