Mangalavaaram on OTT - Here's when the Payal Rajput starrer is expected to make its digital premiere

Payal Rajput pinned a lot of hopes on Managalavaaram to make a strong comeback in Telugu cinema. She played a very dark role in this thriller which was released on November 17, 2023.

Mangalavaaram ended as an above-average fare and we at OTTplay have already reported that Disney + Hotstar has bagged the OTT rights to the film. Well, the latest update is that Mangalavaaram is expected to stream from December 22, 2023 onwards. An official confirmation will be made by the streaming giant soon.

The digital rights have been sold for Rs 9 crore and this is a big number considering the star cast and budget of the film. Initially, Aha was supposed to grab the rights and the deal was almost locked. But at the last minute, Hotstar star came into the picture and closed the deal.

The village drama was directed by Ajay Bhupathi of RX 100 and Maha Smaudram fame. Mangalavaram is about mysterious happenings in a small village. The entire film is shot in a small village and most of the drama happens at night and that too on Tuesdays.

asoned actors Ajay Ghosh and Krishna Chaitanya played key roles in this film which had music by B. Ajaneesh Loknath. Priyadarshi was seen in a special role in this film and his character was kept in suspense for the audience. The satellite rights of Managalavaaram have been locked by Star Maa for a fancy price.
