Marco producer Shareef Muhammed announces next, another exciting Malayalam actioner on the cards?

Marco, with its relentless violent sequences, notched up the title of the most violent film in Malayalam. The Unni Mukundan starrer, directed by Haneef Adeni, was the maiden venture of Shareef Muhammed's Cubes Entertainments. Now, Shareef Muhammed has announced his next production, promising an exciting film. Here’s everything we know about the latest update. 

Marco producer’s next project announced 

Shareef Muhammed took to Instagram recently to announce the second production of his banner Cubes Entertainments. The upcoming project will be helmed by debutant director Paul George. Though the makers teased about a ‘journey of something exciting’, they did not reveal any details. 

But the poster shared along with the announcement, showed the silhouette of a person with an image of a rifle. The poster, with red hues, hints that another dark film or an actioner is on the cards. Towards the end of the poster, it also said ‘Hunting soon’. 

Antony Varghese to play lead role?

Though the lead hero or any other cast details have not been revealed, Antony Varghese could be seen in the protagonist role. Earlier in an exclusive interview with OTTplay, Antony had mentioned that he has an upcoming project with the Marco producer that will be helmed by a friend of his. 

However, the makers have not confirmed this. Antony also did not confirm that his upcoming project will be the second production of Cubes Entertainments and we are waiting for an official announcement.

Shareef Muhammed had earlier also said that talks are on with Mammootty for an upcoming project, but nothing was confirmed. 

Meanwhile, Antony Varghese’s latest release Daveed hit theatres on February 14, 2025. The sports drama opened to mixed to positive reviews.

Marco on OTT

On the other hand, Marco released on Sony Liv on February 13, 2025. Unni Mukundan starred in the lead role in the film, which narrated a revenge tale as Marco sets out to avenge the murder of his foster brother Victor. 

Siddique and Ishaan Shoukath play Marco’s foster brothers in the action thriller, which has Jagadish, Abhimanyu Thilakan, and Kabir Duhan Singh as the ruthless villains.
