Marivillin Gopurangal - Release of Indrajith Sukumaran's rom-com postponed | Here’s what we know

Malayalam film Marivillin Gopurangal's theatrical release date has been postponed by its makers for unknown reasons. The new-age romantic comedy was supposed to hit the big screen on February 16.

If released on the said date, the film will be running in theatres alongside Mammootty’s Bramayugam and Biju Menon’s Thundu.

Marivillin Gopurangal stars Indrajith Sukumaran, Vincy Sony Aloshious, Sarjano Khalid, and Shruti Ramachandran in the key roles. Arun Bose, who has directed Unni Mukundan's Mindiyum Paranjum and Tovino Thomas' Luca, has helmed this movie. Both Pramod Mohan and the director have written the screenplay for the film.

Plot of Marivillin Gopurangal

The evolving dynamics of contemporary relationships are looked at in the movie. Whereas Shinu and Sherin (Indrajith Sukumaran and Shruti Ramachandran, respectively) are married couples, Rony and Meenakshi (Sarjano Khalid and Vincy Sony Aloshious) are in love and soon to become parents. When the latter stays with Shinu and Sherin, their lives take an unexpected turn, and they begin to view marriage and love differently.

Director calls the film a 100% family entertainer

Marivillin Gopurangal is a film that should be enjoyed with loved ones, as the director promised. Arun added that the best parts of this film are the performances of Indrajith Sukumaran, Shruti Ramachandran, Sarjano, and Vincy. There are a few unexpected aspects of the movie that will appeal to viewers. He thinks kids will enjoy this movie more because of the CGI effects and the interesting parallel narrative led by Indrajith Sukumaran and Vasisht Umesh.

Salim Kumar, Bindu Panicker, Sai Kumar, and Johny Antony are some of Marivillin Gopurangal's supporting cast members. The film's camera work was overseen by Syamaprakash M S, and its editors are Arun Bose and Shaijal P V. The film's creative producer is K R Praveen.

Vidyasagar has composed the soundtracks, which are written by Vinayak Sasikumar. This movie has been financed by Kokers Media Entertainments, which will also be bringing it to theatres around the state.
