Ahead of today’s premiere of Disney+ show What If...?, Marvel Entertainment dropped a new clip of Captain Carter fighting bad guys.
The clip, which is a little over a minute long, was released on their official Twitter handle with the caption, “Are you seeing this?” The video showed Peggy Carter in action. The superhero is seen stopping a number of trucks with Hydra agents using her shield. She then engages with the agents, taking them all out.
Carter takes out multiple Hydra agents at once, flips large trucks over her head, and also does a superhero landing. She can also be heard saying, “That was brilliant” and “Are you seeing this”, and “I used to be a bit more covert”, hinting that this could be the first time she is using her powers.
Carter will be Captain Britain in What If..?, an alternate version of Peggy Carter, who receives the super serum instead of Steve Rogers.
What If..? will be the fourth TV series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and produced by Marvel Studios. It is also the first animated series by the studio. With Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Bryan Andrews, A C Bradley and Victoria Alonso as executive producers, it will explore multiple timelines in the multiverses and what happens if major events from the MCU movies happened differently.
The show will premiere with its first episode releasing on August 11. The first season of the series, which will be part of phase 4, will have nine episodes and will be streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
