Masaba Masaba 2: Kartik Aaryan to guest star in Neena Gupta-Masaba Gupta's Netflix series

Guest stars in series are a treat for fans and many celebs are also up for it. In the 2020 Netflix series Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, Malaika Arora, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sidharth Malhotra, Amrita Arora, Ekta Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Sussanne Khan, Boney Kapoor, Karan Johar, Natasha Poonawala, and Tusshar Kapoor starred as themselves.

Another Netflix outing, Masaba Masaba, featured Kiara Advani, Farah Khan, Gajraj Rao, Mithila Palkar, Shibani Dandekar, and Malavika Mohanan in cameo appearances.

As per reports in Mid Day, Kartik Aaryan is all set to play himself in the second season of the Neena Gupta and Masaba Gupta-starring series. Interestingly, the actor shot for it recently.

The show's creative producer, Ashvini Yardi, is a personal friend of the actor. A source revealed to the tabloid that Ashvini had met Kartik at a gathering and discussed a part she had in mind. The actor immediately showed excitement over the same. In keeping with the show's lighthearted tone, the Dhamaka actor will portray an exaggerated version of himself, a hugely popular celebrity with starry airs. 

Kartik has had a hectic few months, balancing various projects while promoting Dhamaka. However, the actor was able to fit the series' filming into his schedule. The source went on to say that the portions were shot at a suburban studio last month when Kartik was filming Shehzada.

Currently, the actor is riding high on the success of his latest outing, Dhamaka, which dropped on Netflix on Friday. The film, directed by Ram Madhvani, is the first for the actor to get out of the rom-com space. The film also features Amruta Subhash and Mrunal Thakur in supporting roles.

The actor will next be seen in Bhool Bhulaiyya 2 opposite Kiara Advani and directed by Anees Bazmee.
