In response to a question concerning his absence from Imtiaz Ali's film Jab We Met, Bobby Deol has answered. The actor revealed in a new interview that the filmmaker was once a dear friend of his. People make decisions out of powerlessness, according to Bobby. He also stated that this happens to all actors. Imtiaz Ali wrote and directed the romantic comedy Jab We Met (2007), which was produced by Dhilin Mehta. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Tarun Arora, Dara Singh, Pavan Malhotra, and Saumya Tandon feature in the film.

Deol laughed and remarked in an interview with BBC Hindi that he had mentioned this many years ago in an interview. It happens to all actors. He doesn't want to say that again because Ali was once a close friend of mine, and he would like to honour that connection.

The actor continued, saying that everyone has their powerlessness and they make decisions. Perhaps one of their friends is offended by their decision, and it just keeps happening.

Earlier, Deol stated in a 2017 interview with HuffPost that, according to his sources, Ashtavinayak signed Ali for Jab We Met, and Kareena is in the film! Shahid, her then-boyfriend, was cast opposite her in the film. He thought that it was a big business. Deol and Ali were also supposed to do Highway together, but the filmmaker went off on his own. But the actor has no animosity towards him. He called Ali an excellent director who is achieving remarkable success. They are still in touch, and Deol revealed that he told the filmmaker that he wouldn't see any of his films until he made one with him. The actor always tells him that this will be his most successful film.

Bobby recently appeared in the films Class of '83 (2020), Aashram (2020), and Love Hostel (2022). Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, will be his next film. Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Anil Kapoor also star in the film. The film will be released on August 11 next year.
