And there are all the reasons to be excited because Sriram Raghavan is back after a long time, and that too with Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi. The movie was scheduled to release on December 8, 2023, but it turns out that the film is now pushed to 2024 and will be released in January next year. Read on to know the date.
Merry Christmas is a movie that is set on Christmas Eve when a tragic day turns the lives of two individuals upside down. It marks Vijay’s return to Hindi films after Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan and his first collaboration with Katrina Kaif. The movie has become one of the most anticipated ones over time.
As per the latest announcement, Merry Christmas, first scheduled to be released on December 8, 2023, will not be released on that date. It has been pushed to 2024 by the makers and will now be released on January 12, 2024. The makers, in their joint statement, have said that with the next two months jam-packed with releases, they have taken the decision to move the release of their labour of love.

The joint statement from the makers of Merry Christmas read, “We have made this film with a lot of love & passion as every filmmaker does however with the back-to-back movie releases and packed last two months of 2023, we have taken the decision to extend the season of joy and bring our film to the theatres on 12th January 2024”.
