Mission Majnu: Kiara Advani is all praise for Sidharth Malhotra’s film, calls him “India’s Majnu”

Sidharth Malhotra’s rumoured ladylove, Kiara Advani is all praise for his recent performance in Mission Majnu, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna. Ahead of the film’s official release, the makers of Mission Majnu organised a special screening on January 17 in Mumbai. Along with other celebs such as Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, Mrunal Thakur and Nora Fatehi, Kiara Advani also attended the special screening.

The actress took to her Instagram handle and shared her review about the movie. She posted a poster of Mission Majnu on her Instagram story section and captioned it as, “An outstanding performance from India’s Majnu! Must Must watch!!”

While tagging other members of the star cast, she also added, “A beautifully executed film / Huge congratulations to the entire team.”

Kiara was spotted blushing when paparazzi teased her at the screening of the film. There are reports that Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani will tie the knot on February 6 in Rajasthan, though no official confirmation has been given by either of them.

Filmmaker Karan Johar also took to Instagram to share praise for the upcoming film. He captioned it as, “There are so many heroes that are either footnotes in historical archives or aren’t even mentioned because of secrecy and espionage… MISSION MAJNU is a taut, engaging and eventually immensely emotional journey of an unsung hero trapped in a maze of love and patriotism … a mission that no one knows about…..brilliantly edited with such a fine balance of pace and sensitivity.”

Adding to his review, he wrote, “The entire cast is a winner ! The fragility of @rashmika_mandanna was heartening to watch… but eventually the film belongs to the majnu himself! ( No spoilers) but he justifies the duplicity of his character with dollops of sincerity and strength ! He’s the “hero” when required and the “majnu” when needed! This one’s such a great addition to his filmography! A proud performance! My congratulations to the team of #MISSIONMAJNU and to team @netflix_in !”

Mission Majnu is a patriotic thriller film, featuring Sidharth as an Indian spy in Pakistan trying to take down Pakistan’s plans for a nuclear attack. Helmed by Shantanu Bagchi, and produced by RSVP and GBA, 'Mission Majnu' is all set to premiere exclusively on the OTT platform Netflix on January 20, 2023. It is the first on-screen collaboration of Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna.

Sidharth will also star alongside Disha Patani in the upcoming action film "Yodha," which is scheduled to be released on July 7, 2023.
