When Amazon Prime released the Indian version of acclaimed Modern Love franchise in Hindi and Telugu sometime ago, fans of Kollywood were eager to know about its Tamil counterpart. The OTT giant left everyone elated with the arrival of Modern Love Chennai a couple of days ago.

The anthology, featuring six films, directed by Bharathiraja, Balaji Sakthivel, Thiagarajan Kumararaja, Rajumurugan, Krishnakumar Ramakumar and Akshay Sundher, will drop on the digital platform on May 18. Ritu Varma, Ashok Selvan, Ramya Nambessan, Wamiqa, Sri Gouri Priya and Samyuktha Vishwanathan among others play crucial roles in the project.

The makers have now unveiled its three-minute trailer providing a glimpse into the plot of all the stories without giving away any spoilers. Ritu Varma sports two looks in it, as a teenage student and as a young woman who is in love with someone. Ramya Nambeesan is a wife who goes through several issues.

Wamiqa is a free-spirited young woman who is having a whale of a time leading a life doing what she loves the most. Ashok Selvan is a romantic husband who is madly in love with his life partner.

Balaji Tharaneetharan, Rajumurugan, Reshma Ghatala, Pratheep Kumar S and Thiagarajan Kumararaja have donned the hat of writers for Modern Love Chennai which has music composed by Ilaiyaraaja, Yuvan Shankar Raja, GV Prakash Kumar and Sean Roldan.

Film buffs, needless to say, are in for a treat with some veterans and newbies collaborating for the anthology like never before. Tyler Durden and Kino Fist are producers for the project. Lalagunda Bommaigal, Imaigal, Kaadhal Enbadhu Kannula Heart Irukkura Emoji, Margazhi, Paravai Kootil Vaazhum Maangal and Ninaivo Oru Paravai are titles of the six anthologies which touch upon various relationships and complex love tales.
