Mohanlal teams up with director Vivek for L353; see announcement poster

Mohanlal seems to be unaffected by age as he keeps adding new movies to his already long kitty. The actor has now announced his 353rd movie, which will see him join hands with long time friend and former minister, Shibu Baby John. 

Mohanlal took to social media to share the news with the fans, as he also shared an announcement poster for the movie. 

“I am delighted to inform you that my 35-year-long friendship and goodwill with Mr. Shibu Baby John is moving into a joint venture to bring you more entertainment. I shall play the lead role in the movie produced by his brand-new film production company, John & Mary Creative,” he wrote in a Tweet, sharing a photo with the makers.

Century Film and Max Labs will also be backing the movie, which is directed by Vivek, who previously helmed Athiran starring Fahadh Faasil and Sai Pallavi in the lead. Mohanlal also confirmed in the post that he will be joining the project once he wraps the filming of Ram, helmed by Jeethu Joseph. 

The actor also shared the announcement poster for the project in the post, stating that he will be keeping his fans posted on further updates and developments. 

Mohanlal is one of the busiest leading stars in the Malayalam industry today, and has a whole slate of upcoming movies. He has two action movies on the trot, Alone, directed by Shaji Kailas and Monster, helmed by Vysakh. His movie with Jeethu Joseph titled Ram had met with delays in production following the pandemic, and is still in the works. 

The actor has also turned into a director, with Barroz, a fantasy movie that will also see him essay an important role. The movie has created massive hype among fans and also has Santosh Sivan cranking the camera. He will also be seen L2: Empuraan, a second part to his 2019 hit, Lucifer.
