Deepika Padukone’s fascination for babies
In a conversation with Vogue this year, Deepika spoke about motherhood and said that she and Ranveer love children and look forward to starting their own family.
Speaking about values, Deepika said that she wants to teach her children the same values that were instilled in her by her parents. She said, “In this industry, it’s easy to get carried away by fame and money. But no one treats me like a celebrity at home. I am a daughter and a sister first. I don’t want that to change. My family keeps me grounded and Ranveer and I hope to inculcate the same values in our children.”
Deepika has expressed her admiration for babies earlier as well. During an interview with Rajeev Masand, when asked what she would be doing if not acting, Deepika replied, “If I was not an actor, I don’t know what I would have been doing. But hopefully I would have some children around. Three little kids, scuttling about.”
At a Loreal event, Deepika revealed that the one thing she wants to do before dying is have babies. She said, “The one thing I have got to do before I die is definitely have lots of babies. That’s what I want to do. I know the importance of family. I mean, it completes me as a person. I want lots of children. I look at babies' pictures and I am like…I love kids.”
