If its trailer is any indication, Monica, O My Darling promises to be an intriguing crime thriller with a dash of humour and wit. The film hints at a story with a range of colourful and quirky characters whose presence will make for some fascinating sequences indeed. One among them is ACP Naidu, played by Radhika Apte. Netflix India recently released a character promo of the character, which gives a closer look into her kooky personality.
If there ever was a competition for the most honest cop on the block, the gold medal would definitely go to ACP Naidu it seems. Naidu’s honesty is paralleled only by her humour, as she cracks some jokes that barely land, but which bring a wide toothed smile to her face nonetheless. The policewoman tries to drive home just how honest she thinks she is by joking that even lie detectors short circuit when she is around. But then, we get to see how fickle she actually is when she declares that maintaining her ‘imaandari’ is costly, and comes at a price.
