Most-awaited Malayalam OTT releases in July 2025 on JioHotstar, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Sony LIV, ZEE5 and more

We have crossed the halfway mark of the year, and Malayalam has already seen big releases with the likes of Mohanlal’s Thudarum making a splash both in theatres and on OTT space. Another bunch of exciting films have released in theatres and are gearing up to make their grand OTT premiere. Mammootty’s action-packed Bazooka and Shahi Kabir’s cop drama Ronth promise gripping stories of crime, while Asif Ali ushers in a heartwarming tale. From Ronth to Sarkeet, here are the latest Malayalam movies that are likely to drop on OTT in July 2025.

Malayalam OTT releases in July 2025

Bazooka

OTT platform: Zee5, OTTplay Premium 

OTT release date: TBA

Mammootty, who made quite an impact last year with movies such as Bramayugam, is yet to see any OTT releases this year. The Malayalam mega star had two releases - Bazooka and Dominic and the Ladies' Purse. Reports have confirmed that the streaming rights of Bazooka, an action-packed thriller, have been purchased by Zee5 but an OTT release date is yet to be officially announced. Tamil filmmaker-actor also stars in the film in a key role.

Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali - TBA

Asif Ali appears as a husband who finds himself in the dock after his newly married wife raises dowry allegations against him. Sethunath Padmakumar’s debut directorial drew mixed responses upon its theatrical release in June, but the OTT release of the film is likely to spark bigger conversations about men’s claims of being victimised. Thulasi, Jagadish, Harisree Ashokan and Sidharth Bharathan are also part of the film.

Ronth - TBA

Dileesh Pothan and Roshan Mathew feature as two night patrolling cops - SI Yohannan and CPO Dinnath - in this Shahi Kabir film, which explores yet another police story with a nuanced and complex approach. The Malayalam film released in theatres in June to positive feedback from both audiences and critics. Ronth is much-awaited in the digital space.

Janaki v/s State of Kerala

OTT platform: Zee5, OTTplay Premium 

OTT release date: TBA

Suresh Gopi headlines this courtroom drama film, which also features Anupama Parameswaran in a key role. The Malayalam film will hit theatres only on June 27, but has already locked its OTT platform. Janaki v/s State of Kerala or JSK will stream on Zee5 and OTTplay Premium once the Suresh Gopi-starrer completes its theatrical run.

Sarkeet - TBA

Another Asif Ali film, but one with a lot of heart. Sarkeet narrates the heartwarming bond between Ameer, who lands in the Gulf looking for a job, and Jeppu, a hyperactive boy. Divya Prabha and Deepak Parambol play the child's parents in Thamar KV's film, which deserves to win more love upon its digital debut.
