Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's latest song from Pathaan, Besharam Rang, has split the internet. Some criticised the actress for wearing the saffron-colored bikini and the profanity in the video, while others praised both actors' hot on-screen chemistry. Veteran TV actor Mukesh Khanna is the newest to follow the trend.

Mukesh is well recognised for his performance as Gangadhar, also known as Shaktiman, in a superhero TV series that aired in the late 1990s. The seasoned actor has since expressed his opinions on the song, which has caused a tremendous uproar on social media.

During a conversation with ABP News, Mukesh Khanna said, “I think our film industry has gone haywire. This is a matter of vulgarity, it has nothing to do with any kind of religious problem. The censor board is no Supreme Court. They tell me very prominent people but can they not see all these attacks on the Hindu religion?”

"Ok, the issue at hand is that of vulgarity. Our country is no Spain or Sweden or such a country that allows everything. You dared to bring people in such limited clothing, next you will bring them without the clothes!" He continued saying that the censor board's responsibility is to make sure that movies don't offend anyone's sentiments. The censor must not permit any movies that incite or mislead young people, he added. "This song can mess up the minds of the youth, not mislead them. This is not a song made for the OTT, but a film. How could the censor pass it? Did they not see the deliberate provocative dressing?” said the actor.

Besharam Rang, Pathaan's most recent track, was released earlier this week and has since courted controversy. Politicians have criticised the use of the colour saffron for Deepika's clothing, while trolls have criticised the song for purported obscenity.
