Munawar Faruqui, Karan Kundrra, Rahul Vaidya slam Poonam Pandey’s PR team - ‘Bad publicity’

Poonam Pandey’s death news has received severe backlash on social media. A day ago, the actress’ PR team informed news portals that she died following her struggle with cervical cancer. Today, her PR team declared that Poonam Pandey is alive, and the news published last day was merely a publicity stunt. This development has not gone down well among social media users.

One social media user – whose username is The Skin Doctor, said, “If you genuinely want to raise awareness about an issue, the primary limelight should be on the issue, not on you. Otherwise, it's probably a publicity stunt. Since yesterday, only #PoonamPandey has been trending. Everyone was talking about her, her potential stunt, and her reasons for faking it. Not even 1% of that attention went to Cervical Cancer.” This comment on microblogging site X has received lakhs of likes by social media users.

Bigg Boss participants slam Poonam Pandey

Bigg Boss Season 17 winner Munawar Faruqui – who recently rose to fame after defeating Abhishek Kumar on the show, slammed Poonam on social media and said, “Poonam ki PR team ko cancer nahi bawasir hua hai.”

Karan Kundrra – Bigg Boss Season 15 second runner-up, added, “Wahh didi wahhhhh.. aur wahhh tumhari PR agency.. jo bhi phook rahe ho tum log immediately bandh kar do!!! You’ve royally managed to turn a social cause into a laughing matter! Sometimes bad publicity is actually bad publicity...!”

Bigg Boss 14 finalist Rahul Vaidya have slammed Poonam Pandey’s PR team as well and shared a video wherein he wondered what compelled her to opt for such a promotional campaign.

Pooja Bhatt – sister of superstar Alia Bhatt, lashed out at Poonam and said, “I never delete tweets but did so in the case where I expressed my shock at news of Poonam Pandey’s demise due to cervical cancer. Why? Turns out the news was engineered by a digital/PR team. Absolute disgrace & disservice to those battling the same-her included.”

Why is Poonam Pandey popular?

Poonam Pandey – who is often disregarded for her sexually explicit content, rose to fame after participating in reality shows namely Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 4 in 2011 and Lock Upp Season 1 in 2022.
