Muthu alias Kaattaan is an upcoming Tamil web series headlined by actor Vijay Sethupathi. Director Manikandan known for films like Kadaisi Vivasayi , Aandhavan Kattalai , and Kaaka Muttai , has helmed his maiden series. As Kaattaan is set to release this week, here is everything you need to know:

Kaattaan OTT release date:

Kaattaan is slated for release on March 27, with the streaming platform expected to drop all the episodes in one go. Kaattaan marks the first original series in Tamil for JioHotstar this year.

Kaattaan plot:

Kaattaan is rural action drama about a police station in a village which is on the verge of being shut down due to low rate of cases filed. At this juncture, the police officials find a severed head, with the search going on to know whose it is and how the murder took place.

Kaattaan cast and crew:

The cast of Kaattaan is led by Vijay Sethupathi who has also backed it. Besides him, actors Singampuli, Muthukumaran, Abi Nakshatra, Balaji Sakthivel, Milind Soman, Irshad Ali, Risha Jacob, Sudev Nair, VJ Parvathy, and others are also part of the cast. Kaattaan is created by M Manikandan who has co-directed the series with Malayalam director and editor B Ajithkumar.

The trailer of Kaattaan is available for streaming. It shows a group of police officials trying to search the whereabouts of Muthu, whose only remains is his severed body with no body to be found. The police try to search for the identity, who seems to be a man with mysterious past.

Kaattaan runtime and episodes:

Kaattaan has a total of 10 episodes which will be released on the same day. Each episode in the series will run for about 30-40 minutes each.
