My Daemon OTT release date: When, where to watch this Japanese animated series online

My Daemon was first announced at Netflix’s TUDUM festival in 2022, offering a glimpse into the series without revealing much about its plot. The official announcement came during the TUDUM Japan presentation, where Netflix's Anime account introduced the show. Following the presentation, a Tweet and the first look design of the main protagonist were shared.

About My Daemon writer

Otsuichi, the pen name of acclaimed horror and detective novelist, Hirotaka Adachi, takes the reins as the main writer for My Daemon, while Nat Yoswatananont, director of The Legend of Muay Thai: 9 Satra, orchestrates the direction of each episode.

My Daemon production

My Daemon has been backed by Thai company, Igloo Studio, based in Bangkok. The company has previously produced notable projects like – Netflix's Love Death + Robots, Farmhouse, Warhammer: Odyssey, and the music video MV-Orbit. This new anime, My Daemon will be available with both English and Japanese audio tracks, along with a variety of dub and subtitle options to cater to a global audience.

My Daemon story

Amidst the aftermath of a cataclysmic nuclear explosion, a dimensional rift tears open, merging Earth with the infernal realm of Hell. As a consequence, a suffocating dust from the underworld blankets the world, casting humanity into a perilous darkness. In this desolate landscape, a young elementary school student named Kento finds himself alone, adrift in a world ravaged by chaos. Amidst the ruins of his once-peaceful town, Kento stumbles upon an injured Daemon named Anna, a creature of ethereal beauty whose existence defies the norms of his world. Moved by compassion, Kento takes Anna under his wing, forming an unlikely bond between a human and a being from another dimension. Together, this extraordinary duo embarks on a perilous quest to rescue Kento's mother, venturing into the heart of the hellish rift, where the boundaries between worlds blur and danger lurks at every turn.

My Daemon is all set for its OTT release on Netflix on November 24, 2023.
