My Dear Donga - Abhinav Gomatam, Shalini Kondepudi unite for aha's OTT show

After witnessing immense viewership for their latest release Keedaa Cola and confirming the OTT premiere of Kotabommali PS earlier today, leading streaming platform aha has shared a new update about its upcoming web original My Dear Donga. The second promo of the OTT show featuring its lead stars was unveiled by the streamer, hinting at its premise.

While the first promo confirmed that Shalini Kondepudi essays a crucial role in the show revolving around a petty burglar who steals trivial items at an office, the latest video confirms the male lead of the web show. Abhinav Gomatam is cast as a thief in the series. In the promo, Shalini is lost in her thoughts as Abhinav makes the most of the opportunity and grabs everything he can from a cafeteria.

Annapurna Studios, a leading Telugu production house with a five-decade legacy founded by ANR, which produced Vyooham recently, backs the web show in collaboration with CAM Entertainment and Spectrum Post Works. Other details regarding the cast, crew, director will be out shortly. My Dear Donga is expected to arrive on aha in the second half of January/early February in 2024.

Abhinav Gomatam had several major releases in 2022 including Sai Dharam Tej’s mystical thriller Virupaksha, Disney+ Hotstar’s web show Save The Tigers, Nikhil Siddhartha’s Spy, the surprise success Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, Gandeevadhari Arjun and Spark (Life), to name a few. Shalini Kondepudi, who shot to fame with Suma’s Jayamma Panchayathi, was also part of aha’s Alludu Garu released in 2021.

Some of aha’s recent releases include The Road, Karimnagar’s Most Wanted, Polimera 2, Month of Madhu, Raakshasa Kaavyam, Richie Gadi Pelli and Rules Ranjann. They’re also releasing newer episodes of web reality shows like Anil Ravipudi’s Comedy Stock Exchange, Navdeep’s DugOout every week. The third episode of Balakrishna’s talk show Unstoppable was out recently too.
