The new variety show 'Apartment 404' featuring BLACKPINK's Jennie and Yoo Jae Suk, made its debut in South Korea on February 15, followed by a global release on February 23. The show had generated significant buzz, especially with the K-pop idol making her debut on it. However, despite its impressive lineup of stars, in the weeks following its launch, 'Apartment 404' has encountered difficulties in retaining viewership, despite the initial excitement.

Now, despite this show experiencing a slow start, Jennie is gearing up to appear in another variety show for JTBC titled 'My Name is Gabriel', alongside Ji Chang Wook, Park Bo Gum, and others.

Apartment 404:

As per recent reports from Nielsen Korea, 'Apartment 404' starring Jennie, Alchemy of Soul’s Oh Na Ra, Running Man’s Yang Se Chan, Moving’s Cha Tae Hyun, and Leung Ha among others.

experienced a consistent decline in viewership ratings in South Korea. While the debut episode garnered 2.7% nationwide cable viewership, the latest episode on March 8 marked a significant drop to 1.7%, following the second episode's 2.1% ratings.

But on the global front, the show received substantial attention. According to sources, the show achieved a spot in the top 10 rankings in a total of 17 countries worldwide.

My Name is Gabriel: new Korean variety show

An official has confirmed that several actors such as Ji Chang Wook, Yeom Hye Ran, Park Myung Soo, and Hong Jin Kyung, as well as Park Bo Gum, are part of the show.

On the other hand, regarding Jennie's participation, JTBC staff mentioned that there is currently 'no official confirmation,' but discussions are underway for her potential involvement in the cast.

The show, as reported, will revolve around the cast immersing themselves in the lives of individuals from various countries. This concept aligns with the distinctive premise of MBC's entertainment program "Infinite Challenge," titled "The Lives of Others," previously helmed by director Kim Tae Ho.
