My Name is John: Gautham Menon comes up with the much-awaited update from Vikram's Dhruva Natchathiram

Much has been written about Gautham Menon's Dhruva Natchathiram starring Vikram in the lead. The much-delayed project's trailer was unveiled in 2017, and cinephiles were disappointed about the lack of updates on its release since then. Despite various speculation, the movie's release remained uncertain.

However, Gautham opened up on the reason behind the film's delay and assured that the project is getting ready for a theatrical release soon. We hear that the much-awaited action drama's release will happen this year.

The director finally revealed an update yesterday. He took to Twitter to inform that the second single from Dhruva Natchathiram, My Name is John, will be out on July 19. He also let out a poster featuring Vikram's appealing arm muscles and wielding a gun in his hand.

The first single, Oru Manam, crooned by Karthik and Shashaa Tirupati, was released in 2020, and was instantly lapped up by music buffs. Harris Jayaraj is the movie's composer, his fans are also eagerly waiting for the second single which is likely to be a fast-paced peppy track, going by the poster.  

Earlier, there were reports of the project hitting the screens in July. If everything goes well, this could be the second release of Vikram this year after Ponniyin Selvan 2. The actor has Pa Ranjith's Thangalaan, too, in his kitty. The period flick completed shooting a few weeks ago.

Gautham has Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha, starring Varun in the lead awaiting release. The action drama's trailer was unveiled in 2021. A sequel to Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu and Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is also under the plan.
