Rashmika Mandanna's performance as Srivalli in Pushpa: The Rise has made her an overnight sensation and she has been unstoppable ever since. The actor's famous 'Saami Saami' step remains the most trendy step on social media. Thanks to her impressive performance in the Allu Arjun-starrer, the doe-eyed beauty has been roped in for Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, alongside Ranbir Kapoor.
Talking about the same, Rashmika said, “The makers of Animal approached me after they saw my performance in Pushpa. I did not think twice before saying yes to the film because I was confident that the audience would get to enjoy a new side of me.”
Pushpa: The Rise was the surprise hit of 2021 and Rashmika played the role of a rural girl with great conviction.

Speaking to Film Companion, Rashmika had said, Dear Comrade, changed everything for her. A lot of fans and well-wishes have been telling her that she should do a Hindi film. “But I felt it was too fast of a journey and it was going to take a couple of years for me to go to Bollywood. Mission Majnu happened during the first lockdown. I heard the script and I think it was a film that I had to do in the initial part of my career. So, I felt it was right.”
She adds Mission Majnu and Goodbye were completely of different genres. “I was happy that both of them were coming out because the audience can know that I can do both kinds of films!”
Rashmika, further, spoke about her friendship with Vijay Deverakonda. "I think we got together early in our career. Vijay and I met early in our careers and have been dealing with a lot of things together as we worked on two films. If I have a go-to person in the industry, it’s him. He gives me advice, but I take what I want.”
