Nayanthara's latest horror thriller Connect, helmed by Ashwin Saravanan has just hit screens on December 22. The plot revolves around a family that battles paranormal activity in their house during the pandemic-induced lockdown. The film, bankrolled by Vignesh Shivan's Rowdy Pictures, has opened to mixed reviews with many praising Nayanthara's performance in the film. The star cast includes Vinay Rai, Sathyaraj, Anupam Kher and Haniya Nafisa. While the Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam version have already been released, the Hindi version is now gearing up to hit screens on December 30.

With this, Nayanthara is all set to make her debut in Bollywood and the Hindi audience can get a peek of the actress's work before the release of her much-hyped debut with Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. The film is directed by Atlee and it also marks the debut of Atlee and music director Anirudh Ravichander in Hindi. Her combination with the Superstar of Bollywood has already piqued the curiosity and raised the expectations of her fans. Jawan is said to be an action thriller where Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a dual role. The star cast includes Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunill Grover and Yogi Babu. Deepika Padukone will make a cameo in the film. Jawan is slated to hit screens in June 2023.

Nayanthara has had a packed 2022 with a slew of films releasing in multiple languages, which include Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, O2, Godfather, Gold and Connect. The actress has completed two decades in the industry and she recently stated in an interview that she wanted her name etched somewhere in the history of cinema. She added that the 20 years went by in a flash and she looks back in disbelief. She also called the journey a great one, where she passed through different stages of life and that she thoroughly enjoyed each one of them.
