Neeyat's Prajakta Koli: It was surreal to be in the same room as all my favourite actors

Content creator-turned-actor Prajakta Koli is excited about the release of her second Bollywood film, Neeyat. The film also stars Vidya Balan, Ram Kapoor, Neeraj Kabi, Rahul Bose, Shahana Goswami, Shashank Arora, Niki Walia, Dipannita, and Danesh.

Prajakta plays a pivotal role in the film and was thrilled to be in the same room as all her favourite actors.

Sharing her experience of working on the film, Prajakta said, "I have been a Vidya Balan fan forever, and the fact that I got to share screen space with her was magical for me. And then there was the rest of the cast, which consists of the most talented actors. Where else would I get to chill for two months with such celebrated actors? Just the fact that I got to be in the same room as them, see them perform, and also have the pleasure of having conversations with them was surreal."

Prajakta made her Bollywood debut with the film Jugjugg Jeeyo, which followed the hit Netflix web series Mismatched. She has also starred in the short film Khayali Pulao and the teleplay Yeh Shaadi Nahi Ho Sakti.

Speaking about Neeyat, Prajakta added, "It is my second film, and when I heard who was a part of the film and who was making it, I considered it a huge win since I would get to learn from everyone around me."

On films with huge ensemble casts, the actor said that everyone shooting together and being on set together was a lot of fun. "It was everything I had imagined and more," said Prajakta.

Neeyat is a murder mystery set in Scotland that takes viewers into the glamorous world of billionaire Ashish Kapoor and his close circle of family and friends, and everyone is tangled in their own web of secrets. When Ashish Kapoor is murdered at his party, it is up to Detective Mira Rao to uncover the hidden motives and mysteries behind the killing.

The film is produced by Vikram Malhotra and directed by Anu Menon. It is set to release in theatres on July 7.
