'Neither pyaar nor PR': Kriti Sanon debunks Varun Dhawan's banter about her dating Adipurush co-star Prabhas

In a recent video from the sets of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 Grand Finale, Karan Johar asked Varun Dhawan about the eligible single women in Bollywood. The actor gave a few names except Kriti Sanon, which made the filmmaker further question him about the reason. To which Varun replied in Hindi that because Kriti is in someone's heart, her name is not listed there. That man is currently filming with Deepika (Padukone), thus he is not in Mumbai.

Soon after Varun's amusing statement, rumours circulated that Kriti is dating her Adipurush co-star Prabhas, with whom Deepika is currently filming Project K in Hyderabad. This even led to further speculation that the rumoured couple is already engaged and plans to walk down the aisle soon.

Kriti has now put an end to all the rumours with a statement on her Instagram story. It read as "It's neither Pyaar nor PR... Our Bhediya just went a little too wild on a reality show. And his fun banter led to some Howl-arious rumours. Before some portal announces my wedding date, let me burst your bubble. The rumours are ABSOLUTELY baseless!"

Varun also wrote, "Guys, you all had your fun, but it's just fun and stuff the channels have edited to have fun; we took it as humour. Don't let your imagination run so wild."

Rumours of a relationship between Prabhas and Kriti began during the teaser release of Adipurush. Now, Varun's statement has added fuel to the fire, which has been well clarified by Kriti.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Varun and Kriti reunited on the big screen after seven long years with Bhediya. The movie directed by Amar Kaushik came out in theaters on Friday and has been getting good reviews from both critics and the general public.

Adipurush, starring Prabhas and Kriti, will be released in theatres in 2023.
