Neliima Azeem remembers the moment she first met Mira Kapoor: I was very excited to see her

Neliima Azeem, the mother of Shahid Kapoor, has frequently talked about the lovely relationship she has with Mira Kapoor, her daughter-in-law. Neliima claimed in a previous interview that Mira is her daughter and the piece that completes her family.

Neliima recalled her first encounter with Mira to Bollywood Bubble and said, “When I met Mira, the first thing I thought to myself is ‘Arre yeh toh itni choti si hai, itni pyari si hai, itni frail si hai, yeh toh bachchi hai’ (She is so young, cute, frail, she looks like a child).”

Neliima described the initial chat as being a really pleasant and straightforward encounter. She said “I was very excited to see her because I already knew about her. I knew that the marriage is going to take place and she was the chosen girl. Shahid was very shy when he told me. He wasn’t sure how I’d react because I had never met her.”

In expressing what bonds them together as friends in addition to being saas-bahu, Neliima frequently remarked that Mira doesn't overreact. Since their family is made up of artists, "we are all dramatic," whereas Mira is the least dramatic person Neliima has ever encountered.

On the other hand, Shahid and Mira tied the knot in 2015. Shahid was a well-known Bollywood actor and Mira had just graduated from college when they fell in love, despite the odds. The couple's daughter Misha was born in 2016, and their son Zain was born in 2018.
