Neru on OTT – Where to watch Mohanlal-Jeethu Joseph’s film after its theatrical run

Neru, the courtroom drama that marks the fifth onscreen collaboration of superstar Mohanlal and hitmaker Jeethu Joseph, has finally hit the theatres today. The movie, which features the veteran actor in the role of an advocate after a long gap of 13 years, has garnered the attention of cine-goers with its promising trailer and extensive promotional activities. Just like most of the Indian films of recent times, Neru is also expected to have its OTT release after completing its theatrical run.

As per the latest reports, the Mohanlal-starrer is slated to get its OTT release on the leading streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar after its theatrical run. Neru is expected to stream on the popular digital platform exactly a month after its theatrical run, just like most of the Malayalam releases of recent times. The sources close to the Jeethu Joseph directorial also hinted that Disney+ Hotstar has bagged the OTT rights of the courtroom drama for a whopping price.

Neru OTT release date and time

The OTT release date, time, and other details of Neru are expected to be revealed in a couple of weeks with an official update from the makers and Disney+ Hotstar. However, it is safe to assume that the Mohanlal-starrer, which is touted to be an emotional courtroom drama, might get released on the streaming platform mostly by the last week of January, or the first week of February 2024.

Neru: Cast and crew

Mohanlal, who is set to essay a performance-oriented character after a long gap in Neru, had recently stated that the Jeethu Joseph directorial is one of his favourite films as an actor. The Malayalam superstar’s character in the movie, advocate Vijayamohan, is a senior lawyer who has been staying away from his profession for a very long time and struggles with a lack of confidence.

Neru features a stellar star cast including Siddique, Priyamani, Jagadish, KB Ganesh Kumar, Anaswara Rajan, Sree Dhanya, Kalesh Ramanand, Nandu, Santhi Mayadevi, Krishna Prabha, Aditi Ravi, and others in pivotal roles.  Vishnu Shyam has composed songs and the original score for the movie. Satheesh Kurup is the director of photography, while Vinayak VS handles editing. The Mohanlal-starrer is bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner Aashirvad Cinemas.
