On Monday, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor had their yearly Christmas lunch together. An inside video had surfaced in which Ranbir can be seen lighting a Christmas cake that has been soaked in spirit. Just before lighting the cake, he says, "Jai mata di."

Before delving into this topic, let's remember that just because public figures like celebrities offer glimpses into their personal life with their fans, doesn't mean that everything about them needs bashing. Whatever they do, they are constantly in the public glare, and certain audience members are constantly criticizing them for various reasons, which is not a very good thing to do. The complaint that has been made against Ranbir is one instance.

Earlier today, it was reported that a police complaint had been filed against Ranbir Kapoor for allegedly offending religious feelings. On Wednesday, December 27, Sanjay Tiwari, via his attorneys Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra, filed a complaint at Mumbai's Ghatkopar police station. The complaint states that during the Kapoor Christmas feast, the actor set fire to a cake laced with alcohol and then chanted "Jai Mata Di."

"In Hinduism, the fire god is invoked before invoking other deities, but Ranbir Kapoor and his family members deliberately used intoxicants while celebrating the festival of another religion and chanted Jai Mata Di," the complaint said.

Currently, netizens have been reacting to this. But many have ridiculed and criticised the complainant. One user wrote, "Ise ye samjh ata hai ki -Kitna fokat ka time hai na logo ke paas.” While another one wrote, “Hahaha. This country is gone crazy . Too many unemployed, frustrated people. Get well soon.”

In the now-viral video, Ranbir and his family members are seen seated around their breakfast table. Navya Naveli Nanda and Aadar Jain are seen capturing the moment on their phones. Ranbir lights the cake, saying, "Jai mata di," when Zahan Kapoor finished pouring spirit on it.

Ranbir and Alia reveal Raha's face

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt finally shared a glimpse of their daughter Raha on Monday afternoon before the grand Christmas lunch. As he brought Raha out of the car, Ranbir urged photographers to keep quiet. Raha looked adorable in a pink and white dress and red velvet shoes. Ranbir donned dark pants and a black jacket, while Alia wore a black dress with red flowers on it.
