Nikhil Siddhartha and team shoot high-voltage action sequences for Spy, helmed by editor-turned-director Garry BH

Nikhil Siddhartha, whose romantic drama 18 Pages and supernatural thriller Karthikeya 2 are more or less ready for release, is giving it all for his action thriller Spy. Spy marks the directorial debut of editor Garry BH, while it is written and produced by K Raja Shekhar Reddy under Ed Entertainments . Iswarya Menon plays the female lead in the film. The team of Spy has just commenced shooting for a series of high-voltage action action sequences

Popular cinematographer Keiko Nakahara, associated with films like Mary Kom, Shakunthala Devi, Tanhaji in the recent past, is picturising the slick action pieces in collaboration with eminent Hollywood-based technician Julian Amaru Estrada. There's another Hollywood connection as well in the form of stunt director Lee Whitaker, who is choreographing the action sequences. Hindi actor Makrand Deshpande, Abhinav Gomatam, actress Ishwarya Menon and Sanya Thakur are also part of the shoot.

The film’s title poster, unveiled recently, created enough interest among audiences. Spy will be actor Nikhil's first pan-Indian film and the makers say audiences will get to witness him in a never-seen-before avatar and character. The actioner is being made on a vast canvas. Sricharan Pakala is composing for the film while Arjun Surisetty is the art director, with Charan Tej Uppalapati, the CEO of the banner, overseeing the production activities.

Spy will release for Dasara 2022 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Jisshu Sen Gupta, Nitin Mehta, Ravi Varma too play important roles. The costume design is being handled by Raaga Reddy, Akhila Dasari , Sujeeth Krishnan. While Nikhil's 18 Pages and Karthikeya 2 will have a theatrical release, the actor's third collaboration with Sudheer Varma is expected to take the direct-to-OTT route.
