Supernatural and psychological horror thrillers always captivate fans' hearts due to their engaging plots, thrilling ride, and curiosity about what's next. One such psychological horror thriller, Nikita Roy, is coming to theaters in June. The makers dropped the trailer, and it looks engaging and almost mirrors Ajay Devgn's Shaitaan with a different horror story.
The trailer for Nikita Roy was released today, June 11. It offers a bone-chilling glimpse into a world where the lines between reality blur, and it unsettles viewers with horrific scenes, emotional tension, and an undercurrent of growing terror. The clip shows Sonakshi Sinha's character facing some brutal incidents and experiencing supernatural events. Meanwhile, Amar Dev, played by Paresh Rawal, plays a character who helps people who are possessed by a supernatural soul. But Sonakshi thinks he is a fraud and tries to uncover the truth. The end of the trailer also shows Sonakshi stabbing Amar Dev.
Sharing the trailer, Sonakshi captioned her post on Instagram, "Enter a world where reality blurs and the unknown takes over. Come uncover some dark secrets with #NikitaRoy TRAILER OUT NOW! Get ready for chills, thrills & mind-bending suspense. In theatres 27th June 2025."
Shaitaan is a supernatural horror thriller where a family's vacation is disrupted when a stranger's black magic ritual possesses their teenage daughter. The story revolves around Kabir (Ajay Devgn) and his wife Jyoti (Jyothika), who are trying to keep their worldly-wise kids, Jhanvi (Janki Bodiwala) and Dhruv (Anngad Raaj), in check.
A stranger named Vanraj (R. Madhavan) enters their lives, initially appearing friendly, but later reveals his true nature as a black magic practitioner who possesses Jhanvi. However, at the end, Kabir uncovers the truth about Vanraj, and the latter gets punished.
Likewise, in Nikita Roy, Sonakshi, who thinks Amar Dev is a fraud, sets out to uncover dark truths, but in the process, she loses some of her close people. Both films try to unfold the dark secrets with a horror background.
Meanwhile, produced under the banner of Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films and Nikita Pai Films Ltd., A Baweja Studio release in association with Bliss Entertainment, Movies PTE Limited, and Karmic Films, Nikita Roy features Sonakshi Sinha, Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal, and Suhail Nayyar in key roles.
Nikita Roy releases in theaters on June 27. The film is directed by Sonakshi's brother Kussh Sinha.
