A month after announcing Break Point the documentary series on Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi, Nitesh Tiwari and Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari have wrapped the shoot. The Panga director took to her Instagram page and shared a couple of photos posing with them clicked at Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association in Bengaluru. They are seen having a hearty laugh now that the shoot has come to an end.
Ashwiny wrote, "A year and a half journey with @mbhupathi & @leanderpaes come to an end to only begin a new journey of our friendship for life. First of many as an evolving producer. @niteshtiwari22 & I co-directing for the first time. Writing and documenting a story of two extremely talented champions in the form of a Docudrama. Again a first for Nitesh, Piyush and me."
The Nil Battey Sannata director further credited the team who are behind this ambitious project. She stated, "We are filled with immense gratitude that along with our studio partners @zee5 we could pull this massive production across the world in these trying times of pandemic. The filmmaker concluded by writing, "Hope you enjoy the series coming soon on @zee5 as much as we enjoyed hearing and speaking to the world champions in Indian tennis. Aspiration. Inspiration. Onwards and upwards to Indian sports."
Earlier during an exclusive interaction with OTTPlay, Ashwiny gave an update about Lee-Hesh docuseries. She had said, "We are finished with the docuseries, we are right now under post-production. So that's how it is and through the pandemic, we have worked on the LeeHesh stories."
