Nivin Pauly-Akhil Sathyan movie ropes in Preity Mukhundhan? Main cast, release window details out

Nivin Pauly has teamed up with Akhil Sathyan for an upcoming Malayalam movie, the shoot for which is progressing. In the latest update, actor-filmmaker Althaf Salim has joined the shooting for the Nivin Pauly-starrer. Now, online trackers are saying that Preity Mukhundhan has been roped in for the film and that the team is eyeing a festive release, around December of this year. Nivin Pauly-Akhil Sathyan movie to release in December 2025

Popular Malayalam star Nivin Pauly’s upcoming film is helmed by Akhil Sathyan, who made his directorial debut with Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum, starring Fahadh Faasil. The film shooting is under way and online trackers on Twitter claim that the team plans to release the film in December 2025.

Apart from Althaf Salim, the yet-to-be-titled film will have Aju Varghese in a key role. For the unversed, Aju Varghese has frequently collaborated with Nivin Pauly with their initial films still popular for the buddy comedy.

Though there has been no other official update on the official cast, trackers online say that Preity Mukundan, Riya Shibu, and Janardhanan could also be featured in the movie. Preity Mukhundhan marks her Malayalam debut with Maine Pyar Liya, which stars Hridhu Haroon, and is slated for release in Onam 2025, along with Mohanlal’s Hridyapoorvam and Fahadh Faasil-starrer Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira. Notably, Althaf Salim is helming Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira after his directorial debut with Nivin Pauly-starrer Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela.

Nivin Pauly’s upcoming films

Apart from the Akhil Sathyan directorial, Nivin Pauly has another upcoming film, titled Baby Girl. Helmed by Garudan director Arun Varma, Baby Girl also features Lijo Mol Jose, Sangeeth Prathap, and Azees Nedumangad. The shooting for Baby Girl was wrapped up recently, though a release date is yet to be announced. The actor is also a part of Tamil film, Benz, reportedly playing the antagonist.

Nivin Pauly was last seen in a lead role in Malayalee From India, which drew mixed to negative responses. It is available for streaming on SonyLiv and OTTplay Premium.
