Kartik Aaryan recently opened up about the fallout with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions while promoting his forthcoming horror comedy film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Before the rift, the actor and the production house were working on Dostana 2. In a statement released after the controversy, Dharma Movies refused to reveal information in a statement, saying it would maintain a dignified silence on the matter.
During a recent group media interaction, when Kartik was asked if the fallout would affect an actor like him, who has no film background, the actor replied that he just focuses on his work and that's all he has to say about it.
Following the rift between Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar, claims surfaced that a group of industry insiders were forming a lobby against the actor to damage his career. On being quizzed if he believes those claims are true, the actor responded by saying that nobody has the time for it.
Kartik continued, stating that what occurs at times is that people make a mountain out of a molehill. There isn't much else to say. Nobody has that much time to think. Everyone simply wants to work and perform well. Everything else is simply speculation.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a sequel to Priyadarshan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. The sequel, directed by Anees Bazmee, also stars Tabu, Kiara Advani, and Rajpal Yadav. On May 20, the film will be released in theatres.
Meanwhile, Kartik has several films in his kitty, including Shehzada, which is the Hindi remake of the blockbuster Telugu film, Ala Vaikunthapurramulo, which featured Allu Arjun in the lead role. The film is directed by Rohit Dhawan and features Kriti Sanon as the female lead. It is hitting the big screens towards the end of the year.
