Nupur Sanon is making her Bollywood debut in style, sharing the screen with none other than Nawazuddin Siddiqui. But Nupur’s journey wasn’t all that smooth it seems, as the actress revealed recently.
According to a report in TOI, Nupur revealed that her journey was very different from that of her sister, Kriti Sanon. While the latter made her debut in Bollywood alongside Tiger Shroff in Sabbir Khan’s Heropanti (2014), Nupur’s first acting role came in a music video, which starred Akshay Kumar.
She said that she felt ‘ready’ to take on a film role years ago, and had been trying to get an opportunity since then. She revealed that she had been a part of her fair share of auditions and received a number of rejections. Although she had gotten impatient and frustrated initially, she has now reached a place in her life where she feels evolved enough to take them in her stride.
“I am glad I have given so many auditions. I now know how things work in Bollywood,” she said. Nupur also added that she feels she has improved as an actor now, putting in a lot of preparation and even taking lessons and workshops to hone her skills. She also feels happy with her ‘journey’.
The actress recently wrapped up filming her Bollywood debut with Nawazuddin, posting a picture of herself with her co-star on social media. In the post, she talked about how grateful she feels for the cast and crew for helping her ‘evolve’ into her character.
Noorani Chehra is touted to be a love story with elements of humour, and is helmed by Navaniat Singh.
