OTT platforms are on a roll with a barrage of content rolling out from all over the globe. International streamers and even homegrown ones have something to offer from each and every genre.

The month of October has a massive list of series that can be binged-watched in the comfort of one’s home. 

Netflix has the sports docu-series Bad Sports, Sex Education Season 3, and a Hindi language anthology Ankahi Kahaniya that brings together the works of three prolific directors. Amazon Prime Video has the Mumbai Diaries 26/11, a hard-hitting drama that tries to capture the grisly terror attacks of 2008, starring Mohit Raina and Konkana Sen Sharma. On Disney+ Hotstar, there is the horror-comedy Just Beyond with Mckenna Grace and Lexi Underwood in the lead.

Just Beyond (Disney+ Hotstar)

Based on Fear Street fame author RL Stine’s novel, Just Beyond revolves around teenagers and talks about their struggles in a horror-comedy anthology. The upcoming series, which stars Mckenna Grace and Lexi Underwood, can be streamed from October 13.

Bad Sports (Netflix)

Bad Sports is an upcoming documentary series that talks about six real-life stories narrated by sports personals and law enforcement officials about sports and the crime associated with them. The sports docu-series can be streamed from October 6.  

Sex Education 3 (Netflix)

Three seasons of eight episodes each in this British teen comedy-drama focusing on all things sex, featuring Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson and Emma Mackey, among others. It’s raunchy, but it also looks at how sex affects teens. A fourth season is on the way.

Ankahi Kahaniya (Netflix)

A Hindi anthology of three unconventional love stories, set in busy cities, where the protagonists find companionship in the most unexpected manners. Put together by Abhishek Chaubey, Saket Chaudhary and Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, the stories are brought to life by Kunal Kapoor, Zoya Hussain, Rinku Rajguru, etc.

The Premise (Disney+ Hotstar)

Created by The Office actor BJ Novak, The Premise is an ongoing anthology with five singular stories, each picking on bold issues about the world today, like bullying, social media addiction, income inequality, etc. Its ensemble cast includes Jon Bernthal, Daniel Dae Kim, Ben Platt, among many others.

Candy (Voot)

Richa Chadha and Ronit Roy star in this eight-episode Hindi whodunnit murder mystery in a scenic town. When a school student turns up dead, it’s up to his teacher and a cop to solve the mystery behind it.

Lucifer (Netflix)

The devil has had enough of ruling over hell and heads to Los Angeles, for a life of debauchery. He also bags a stint as a consultant for the LAPD’s homicide division. Suffice to say there’s six seasons of Tom Ellis as the delightful Lucifer Morningstar.

Mumbai Diaries 26/11 (Amazon Prime Video)

Mohit Raina and Konkona Sen Sharma headline this eight-episode drama that follows the events at Bombay General Hospital in the aftermath of the fateful 2008 Mumbai attacks.
