Oh My Dog is purely for kids, says Arun Vijay

Oh My Dog, brings together three generations of a real-life film family; Vijaykumar, Arun Vijay and Arnav Vijay. Written-directed by Sarov Shanmuga; it is produced by Jyotika-Suriya, under the banner of 2D Entertainment. Speaking about Oh My Dog, Arun Vijay says, "the film is purely for kids". Arun Vijay, further tells, it was actor Suriya, in fact, who recommended that his son, Arnav act in Oh My Dog. The actor adds, "The film revolves around the life of Simba and an eight-year-old boy, Arjun, depicting an unconditional bond between a human and a blind dog. We made a happy film. Of course, the audience will come out happy after seeing it. I am grateful to Suriya sir and Jyotika ma'am for bringing Oh My Dog to Arnav. This is his first film. Arnav's role is similar to his actual character. We were supposed to release the film last December. But, owing to the Pandemic, everything got delayed. However, I only see this as a blessing in disguise as it's now releasing during the summer holidays!" 

Arun Vijay says, he is looking forward to Arnav getting an award as the Best Child Artist for this year. Oh My Dog is shot by cinematographer S Gopinath, who had worked in films like Vijay's Ghilli and Vikram's Dhool. The makers had shot Oh My Dog in Ooty for more than 50 days. The film also stars Mahima Nambiar, Vinay Rai, and others, in supporting roles. Going by the trailer, Oh My Dog seems to be a movie that will tug at your heartstrings, showcasing lots of heartwarming and fun moments. Oh My Dog has music by Nivas K Prasanna. A family entertainer, which is set for an exclusive global premiere in Tamil and Telugu, Oh My Dog will stream on Prime Video across India and over 240 countries and territories on April 21.
