OMG 2 box office collection Day 6: Akshay Kumar starrer comes closer to 100-crore club, mints Rs 7.75 crore on Wednesday

Even after a barrage of controversies and backlashes, the Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi starrer has been keeping a steady pace at the box office. After minting Rs 7.75 crore net in India on Wednesday, August 16, OMG 2 has crossed the 80-crore mark and came closer to the 100-crore club. On the other hand, the Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2, which started the race with the Amit Rai directorial has crossed the 250-crore mark on day 6.

According to a report on Sacnilk.com, OMG 2 earned its lowest on day 6 by minting Rs 7.75 crore. However, it brings the total box collection of Akshay's film to Rs 80.02 crore till now and makes it closer to the 100-crore club.

Day 1 - Rs 10.26 crore

Day 2 - Rs 15.3 crore

Day 3 - Rs 17.55 crore

Day 4 - Rs 12.06 crore

Day 5 - Rs 17.10 crore

Day 6 - Rs 7.75 crore

Among many controversies around OMG 2, the Rashtriya Hindu Parishad Bharat's accusation on Akshay and the film gathered the most attention around the country. The Hindu wing demanded a ban on the film and even announced an award to whosoever will slap Khiladi Kumar as he allegedly portrayed Lord Shiva in the wrong way.

However, after a few days after the film's release, many cinephiles are coming in support of Akshay's film and calling it the need of the hour.
