While there has been no doubt about Malayalam actress Nimisha Sajayan’s talent since her debut in Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, her latest releases on OTTs have made the entire country take note of her calibre. The actress will soon make her Bollywood debut with director Onir’s anthology We Are.

The actress had announced this through her Instagram page a few days ago, revealing the film is the sequel to the filmmaker’s much-acclaimed anthology I Am. Onir too posted on his social media page that he has been wanting to work with the “brilliant and beautiful actor” ever since watching The Great Indian Kitchen on Amazon Prime Video and Nayattu on Netflix. “Thrilled to be finally working with her soon,” he wrote.

Nimisha, meanwhile, will also be making her Marathi debut. The actress is currently shooting for her Marathi film in Pune and we hear that she will start shooting for Onir’s anthology only by September this year.

The actress’ next release is big-budget Malayalam film Malik, which is directed by Mahesh Narayanan and has Fahadh Faasil in the lead. The film, which spans from the ‘60s to the current era, has Nimisha playing the wife of Fahadh’s character Sulaiman. She appears in multiple get-ups throughout the course of the movie, which will release on July 15 on Amazon Prime Video.

Nimisha, who is also awaiting the release of Thuramukham, had also completed shooting for the British-Indian film Footprints on Water, which is directed by Nathalia Syam and has Adil Hussain and Lena as part of the cast.
